Jason Thompson (born July 21, 1986) nicknamed "JT" is an American professional basketball player for the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association (NBA). JT was the starting center of the Rider University men's basketball team until 2008 when he entered the NBA draft and was selected 12th overall by the Sacramento Kings. In addition, JT graduated Rider University with a major in Communications and has begun a foundation in honor of his cousin, Tiffany, who lost her life to heart disease in 2010.
The JT Elite Basketball Camp objective is to elevate youth basketball players through an intense week of basketball fundamental building, coach evaluation, 1-on-1 competition and leadership building. By challenging campers through skills and team competition, the Jason Thompson Foundation is looking to promote confidence and education pertaining to the importance of maintaining a heart-healthy lifestyle.
